Had a good evening to try and capture The Orion Nebula. Started off the evening imaging the moon with a NexImage 5 solar system imager before the Orion constellation was able to be viewed.
Recently, I got a ƒ/6.3 focal reducer and thought that it would give the NexImage enough light to at least somewhat capture something. But in the end the NexImage 5 couldn’t pick up anything.
Since the NexImage 5 is designed for Solar System Objects (SSO) and not suited for Deep Space Objects (DSO) I used my universal smart phone adapter and mounted my iPhone 11 Pro to the eyepiece.
I used the default iPhone camera app and shot a 30 second exposure.
