The Bahtinov Mask worked out extremely well. Took about 2 minutes to acquire precise focus. Below is the Live View from my Canon 40D.
It has been a lot of fun to get so many sessions on my gear. Each time really does build upon prior experience and is a really fun hobby to grow with.
